Christmas Cracker Raffle and Cake Stall
We will be running a raffle and a cake stall at our Christmas Cracker Meet this Sunday. If you have any items you could bring in, please bring them to training or on the morning of the gala. Shop bought cakes are fine if you don't have time to make any! If your child is swimming on Sunday and you aren't helping on poolside/door etc, we are always in need of more helpers so please speak to Hayley Speakman or Sarah Burder at the pool.
There is no training on Sunday, am or pm, due to the gala.
October Junior Swimmers of the Month
The Junior Swimmers of the Month for October are Ellie Springett and Keir Gibson.
Ellie has recently moved into Junior Silver and has been training very hard and performing well at the Club Championships. Ellie is not afraid of hard training and listens well to instruction. Ellie’s diving has improved considerably
Since joining the Club in June Keir has progressed through the Junior squads and is now in the top Junior group. Keir works hard and listens well to instruction. Both Ellie and Keir attend as many sessions a week as they can.
Well done to you both!
A good night was had by all. The casino tables and photo booth were a big hit with the children. A big thanks to Night Train for a great night of music. I would like to thank everyone for their food contributions, there was a lot of it. A big thanks to the people that helped set up and clear up (There was a lot of mess).
Thank you to everyone for making it a successful night, roll on next year. Any ideas to better this year are welcome.
100 Club winner for November
After several queries I would like to explain as to why I make a decision to promote a swimmer to the next group; many parents believe it is just a matter of beating someone already in a higher squad as has happened recently in the Club Champs. This is far from the case.
